- My Leaf Charging Experience -
- First, the summary -
On a full charge, I can go about 60 miles on highway - ECO.
On a full charge, I can go about 90 miles at around 40mph - ECO.
On 110V, it takes about 5 hours to recharge my usual ~20 miles commute.
- About consumption -

Before the trip, state of charge shows 75% capacity.

The trip was on 50% highway, ~38 miles.

After the 38 mile trip, state of charge shows 25% capacity.
That means that about 76 miles would have been with a full charge.
(No, I did NOT use the climate control)
Note, that the car and the web prediction agrees on range (31~32 miles), but not on charge time.
In our case:
Original prediction was 75% to do 82 miles.
We got 50% to do 38 miles.
That means the original prediction should've said 57 miles.
That's 44% deviation!!! A LOT!!!
(I can only assume, that this huge difference is because the original prediction was using
my previous driving characteristics which was city driving and this was a highway drive.)

- About charging -

This chart essentially shows, that charging is predictable and non-linear, which was expected.
There were 3 charging sessions, thus the 3 "Range" and "mile/%" graphs.

Original estimate said 13, now it's 11.
That's charging twice as fast as predicted...
In the first hour, we charged 8%
Current prediction : 1.1 mile/%

After charging the car an other hour ( 2 all together ) :
Original estimate 11, now 9:30.
We are now charging only 1.5x faster than estimated.
In the second hour, we charged 9%
Current prediction : 0.95 mile/%

After charging the car an other hour ( 3 all together ) :
Original estimate 9:30, now 8:30.
We are now charging exactly as estimated.
In the third hour, we charged 8%
Current prediction : 0.88 mile/%
